Lord Cameron visited the Gračanica Serbian Orthodox monastery

Bishop Teodosije of Raška-Prizren, together with Bishop Ilarion of Novo Brdo, Vicar of the Serbian Patriarch, today received UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron, the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Lord Stuart Peach and British Ambassador to Priština Nicholas Abbott at the Gračanica Monastery.

In an open discussion, Bishop Teodosije informed the British head of diplomacy and his colleagues about the main challenges facing the Serbian Orthodox Church and our people in the region, emphasizing the need to preserve the survival of our Church and people, and particularly the preservation of the Serbian Orthodox heritage in Kosovo and Metohija.

During their visit to Gračanica, high representatives of the UK Government toured the Gračanica church and learned about the rich history of this monastery.
